How to Fix the “Ad May Get Zero Results” Error in Facebook Ads

If you’ve ever tried running Facebook ads and saw the error message “Ad may get zero results,” don’t panic. This is a common issue most advertisers face and in today’s guide, I’ll walk you through exactly how to fix it based on my own hands-on experience managing ads for thousands of clients worldwide.

Why Does This Error Appear?

When Facebook shows this warning, it’s simply telling you that your budget is too small for the location or audience you’ve selected.

For example:
In advanced countries like the USA, Canada or most parts of Europe, ad costs (CPM) are higher. Running ads below $10/day often won’t bring significant results.

In countries like Ghana, where CPM is much lower (around $2), even a $3 to $5 daily budget can generate thousands of impressions and decent results.

So, the error doesn’t always mean your ad won’t run. It just means your budget may not be enough for meaningful reach in that particular market.

Step-by-Step Fix

Check Your Budget
If your daily budget is less than $10 in high-cost regions (US, Canada, Europe), increase it to at least $10–$20/day.
For lower-cost regions like Ghana, you can still run effective ads with $3–$5/day.

Test and Adjust
Start by increasing your budget to $10 and see if the error disappears.
If it doesn’t, try $20/day for high-competition markets.

Focus on Impressions
Track how many impressions your budget gets.
In regions like Ghana, spending $3 gives around 1,500 impressions, $4 gives 2,000, and $5 gives 2,500.
Any campaign delivering at least 2,000–3,000 impressions will usually perform better.

Pro Tip from My Experience
I’ve personally managed ads where even with the warning, a $3 or $5 budget still delivered results if the CPM in that location was low enough. That’s why it’s always important to look at your market and adjust accordingly.

So, the next time you see “Ad may get zero results,” don’t rush to cancel your campaign. Instead, adjust your budget wisely and keep testing.
